This is a professional biker training school with many years of experience and expertise.
We offer not only the very best chances of getting you through your motorcycle tests first time, but also give you all of the rider training you need to get started as a safe and efficient road user, whether you are doing your CBT with us, your A1, A2, or even your Direct Access.
Learn to ride motorcycles with Sam or Space at PBT (Professional Biker Training). We are a family run motorcycle training school based in Hensall, near Goole in Yorkshire, (exit J34 off the M62) and within easy access of Selby, Pontefract, Castleford, Goole and Askern. We have been operating since 2001 and have always emphasised that learning should be fun, not a chore.
With that in mind we tailor our training to suit your needs and level of ability, from the complete novice to the more accomplished rider we have courses to suit. Our trained instructors are able to work round your commitments so we can accommodate all levels from CBT to DAS or refresher courses just to get you restarted.
Our training facilities include a range of quality motorcycles, free use of helmets and clothing and high quality radio’s used for all training.
With a comfortable classroom for instruction and debriefing, tea/coffee making facilities and a relaxed atmosphere we aim to make your experience how riding should be - safe and enjoyable!
Sam and Space are our guys in the know, taking classes of up to 6 per session for CBTs and 2 at a time for A1, A2, or Direct Access courses, you can be sure to be shown everything you need to know about riding a motorcycle on the road with safety and with ease.
General wanderer, doesn't like smiling much.
Main biker guy, smiles ocassionally more often than Sam.
Karen does not like bats...we may never know why.
A testament to bats of all guises, infiltrating the PBT Base Camp (still to this day?).

We offer CBT courses so long as you are 16 or over and have a valid provisional driving licence. At the end of your CBT you can ride motorcycles that fit the licence and age restrictions set out by the DVLA (see bike and age restrictions).
Our A1 and A2 courses take place over just a few days. Passing the A1 Module 1 and 2 allows a rider of at least 17 years old to ride motorcycles up to 125cc and no more than 14.6bhp (11kW). L plates can be removed, passengers can be carried and you may ride on the motorway. Doing the A2 requires a rider to have held an A1 licence for 2 years and be at least 19 years of age, passing the Module 1 and 2 for the A2 licence raises the bhp restriction from 14.6bhp to 47bhp (35kW) and the 125cc restriction is removed completely although power to weight ratio limitations apply (0.27bhp/kg).
At 21 years of age and after 2 years of holding an A2 licence, a rider can then sit the A-Unrestricted test which removes all motorcycle restrictions.
Direct Access courses (for those 24 years old and over and no prior motorcycle licences) allow you to skip the A1 and A2 licences and start at the A-Unrestricted, letting you ride any bike engine size and power to weight ratio. A CBT and a Motorcycle Theory Test pass certificate must be held.
* Our deposits charged for all courses are non-refundable
Helping more riders get on the road does a lot for our roads, our environment, and fellow riders alike.
The message of bike safety and bike awareness is something that we take pride in passing on, whether you intend to get started with your CBT, or plan on diving straight into a Direct Access course.
